Wilbur Lee Greene

July 11, 1936 — December 6, 2017

Wilbur Lee Greene, 81, of Henderson, passed away Wednesday December 6, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.  He was born in Pike County, Indiana on July 11, 1936 to the late Otho and Ailene (Beatty) Greene.  He was a retired coal miner and a US Army Veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son Mitchell Greene, 2 brothers Norbert Greene and Merle Greene.  Survivors include his wife Ruth (Wiro) Greene, 4 sons Larry Miller and wife Brenda of Henderson, Terry Miller and wife Sherly of St. Louis, Missouri, Dale Slankard, Troy Slankard both of Henderson, 2 daughters Kay Markham and husband Duane of Marion, Kentucky, Michelle (Greene) Willis of Oakland City, Indiana, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Services will be 2:00 PM December 8, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Rev. Thomas Emerson will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard.  Visitation will be Friday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
