Wilbur “Web” J. Hancock, surrounded by his wife and family passed away Saturday April 14, 2018 at the age of 96 at Rivers Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa, Kentucky. He was born July 12, 1921 in Onton, Kentucky to the late Joel and Verna Hancock. Web was a US Army Veteran who served in World War II as a Sergeant from October 1942 – December 1945. He retired from the Teamsters Union after 20 years and was a member of Sebree First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Steven L. Ballard and grandson-in-law Jeffrey A. Hanor. Survivors include his loving wife of 75 years Loleta Todd Hancock, 4 children Gale Hancock and wife Cherry, Roy Lee Hancock, Dorita Eastwood and husband OJ all of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Rhonda Grigg and husband Mike of Clay, Kentucky, 1 sister Joan Hancock Wright of Sebree, 15 grandchildren, 41 Great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, 2 nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday April 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Sebree with Casey Hancock and Todd Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree with military rites conducted by Hopkins County Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel and Wednesday 11:00 AM until service time at First Baptist Church. The Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
