Willa Mae Sawyer

Willa Mae (Fambrough) Sawyer, 72 of Henderson, KY passed away on November 14, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Henderson, KY on September 18, 1944 to the late Willie and Rosa Jones Fambrough. She attended Beals Pentecostal Church and was also a member of Mt. Zion General Baptist church for 32 years. She was a caregiver and private sitter in Henderson area for many years. She loved serving the Lord and was a children's Sunday school teacher for most of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Bill, Frank, and Houston Fambrough, and one sister; Margaret Fambrough. She is survived by her husband; Bob Sawyer of Henderson, KY, her son; David Odell Sawyer (Shannon) of Spottsville, KY, her daughter; Shelia Snow (Jake) of Henderson, KY, her brothers; Jack Fambrough of Morganfield, KY and Ted Fambrough of Henderson, KY, her sister; Janie Garrett of Sebree, KY, 3 grandchildren; Jessica Collins, Dalton Sawyer, and Kayle Sawyer, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19. 2016 at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Bro. Barry Skaggs will officiate assisted by Bro. J.W. Haire. Burial will be at Mt. Zion in Reed, KY. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-7 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Sawyer, Dalton Sawyer, Joe Barrett, Mark Sawyer, Darin Fambrough, and Tony Goatee.
