William "Bill" Terrel Nelson

William “Bill” Terrel Nelson, 76, of Robards Ky, born in Midland Ky, to the late William “Red’ Nelson and Jewell Forehead Nelson. He passed away on September 3, 2025, at I.U. Methodist Hospital.

He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, papaw squirrel, brother, uncle, and friend to all that knew him. He never met a stranger and was always full of jokes.

Terrel was a die-hard Kentucky basketball fan, and you would rarely see him without his KY gear. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and riding around with his dog “Jenny” looking for deer. In his younger years you would always find him at a ball field watching his kids or playing himself. He always treated his teammates as his family.

He retired from Big Rivers Electric where he was known as “Bill.”

In addition to his parents Terrel was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Emmett Wayne Nelson, Wesley “Wacky” Nelson, and Jerry Ray Nelson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Jackie Nelson; daughter Tammy Nelson Goodwin; son Jonathan Terrel Nelson; daughter in law Becky; 4 sisters, Betty Gunterman, Judy Durall, Donna Ellis, and Angie Miller; 3 brothers, Rondal Nelson, David Nelson, and Roger Nelson; 5 grandkids, Jared Nelson (Haley), Natalie Nelson, Kasey Nelson, Samatha Bittel (Jordan), Brittany Thurmand (Chris); 6 great grandchildren, Beckett, Baylor, and Evie Bittel; Marley, McKinnley, and Clayton Thurmond; and several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday September 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday September 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM until service time at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Funeral Service will be Thursday September 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jared Nelson, Scott Heltsley, Brandon Miller, Bob Morris, Chris Nelson, Kole Gibson, John Wolf, and Scott Givens.
