William Letcher Crowley 79, of Hanson passed away Thursday March 18, 2010 at 5:04 P.M. at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. He was a retired union coal miner and a self-employed carpenter and owner of Crowley Dozer Service. He was also an Army Veteran and a member of the Slaughters United Methodist Church in Slaughters. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the UMWA. He was born December 14, 1930 in Hopkins County to the late Archie L. and Minnie (Hancock) Crowley. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Lizzy Crowley, and 1 sister Gladys Hall. He is survived by his wife Columbine (Jobe) Crowley of Hanson, KY 3 sons: Grayling and his wife Sandy Crowley of Hanson, KY Edward and his wife Sherri Crowley of Hanson, KY Troy and his wife Debbie Crowley of Hanson, KY 1 foster son: Jim Wilson of Hanson, KY 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces. Services will be Sunday March 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel in Slaughters, KY. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY. Bro. Ronnie Young will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday March 20 from 4-8 P.M. and Sunday March 21 from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
