William F. “Bill” Fugate, 69, of Madisonville passed away at 6:30 A.M. Wednesday October 8 at his home. He was born March 10, 1939 in Madisonville to Ward and Nellie (Burden) Fugate. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Earlington. He worked for 53 years selling lumber and building supplies and retired from Miller Lumber Company in Sacramento. He was a member and a past President of the Lions Club of Madisonville. He was Hopkins County 2nd district magistrate for 12 years. He was also a member of Madisonville Masonic Lodge F&AM # 143. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an uncle Lawrence Fugate. He is survived by his wife Judith (Gamble) Fugate of Madisonville, KY 1 daughter: Jina (Fugate) Nofffsinger of Newburgh, IN 2 sons: William Leslie Fugate of Madisonville, KY Maury Fugate of Madisonville, KY 2 sisters: Phyllis Presley of Madisonville, KY Nelda Fugate of Evansville, IN 1 brother: Jerry Fugate of Madisonville, KY 6 grandchildren: Sierra, Zachary, Bree, Bailey, Zoe, and Kayne 1 great-grandchild: Hunter And several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 11, 2008 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Sellers and John Sneed will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 P.M. Friday October 10, 2008 and from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington.
