William Matt "Bill" Gish

William Matt "Bill" Gish, 84, of Niagara passed away on January 30, 2017 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born on March 11, 1932 in Henderson. He was a US Army Korean Veteran, retired from Cresline after 28 years, worked in oil fields for Tucker Drilling Company for 16 years, was a member of Jerusalem Lodge #9 past Master and was Mason of the year 2013. He was a member of Bellfield Baptist Churh. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Bessie (Mays) Gish, 5 brothers: James, George, Joe, Pete, and Donald Gish; 2 sisters Dorothy Hooper Wilkerson and Angie Bridges. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Barbara Gish, a son Matt (Laura) Gish of Niagara, KY; 2 grandsons Seth Gish and Ethan Gish both of Niagara; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Thursday February 2, 2017 at 11:00AM at Bellfield Baptist Church with Bro. Glenn Morris officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00PM-7:00PM and Thursday 9:00AM-11:00AM at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Gish, Ricky Gish, Mickey Gish, Billy Bridges, Dick Royer, and Morris Mullins. Expressions of sympathy can be taken in the form of contributions to Bellfield Baptist Church.
