William Edward "Eddie" Madden

William Edward “Eddie” Madden, 70, of Corydon, KY, passed away on Monday, October 20 at Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Dean Madden Griffin.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna Talley Madden. One son, Geoff Madden & wife Heather of Corydon, KY. One daughter, Jennifer Madden of Little Dixie. Two grandsons, Austin Madden of Corydon, KY, and Jace Madden and Erica Martinez of Kuttawa, KY. His father, Tom Griffin, and brother, Tony Griffin, both of Henderson, KY. Brother-in-laws Dwayne Talley & wife Cathy of Evansville, IN, Darrell Talley & wife Deana of Henderson, KY, and Danny Talley & wife Angie of Henderson, KY. His beloved little dog, Sophie. Along with several nieces and nephews.

His hobbies included Big Blue Nation sports, spending time with his family, boating at Kentucky Lake, and hunting with his son Geoff, daughter-in-law Heather, and grandsons Austin and Jace.

He graduated from Henderson City High School in 1973, where he was well known for his track running abilities.

Eddie retired from Gibbs Die Casting after 42 years of service. His first 17 years he drove a semi for Gibbs. He went back to school and gained his apprenticeship diploma as a Tool and Die Maker.

Eddie always had a heart of gold, and a sense of humor that always made you laugh. Spending time with his family was the one thing he cherished the most. He will be missed by those who love him and those who got to know him.

Pallbearers will be Danny Talley, Dale Givens, Derek Talley, Aaron Talley, Jason Talley, and Randy Tasa. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons Austin Madden and Jace Madden, and great-nephew Brayden Littrell.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 23, from 3 – 7 pm, and Friday, October 24, from 10 am until the time of the service at 12 pm at Tomblinson’s Funeral Home.

Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
