William Morris Adams

William Morris Adams William Morris Adams age 87 of Sturgis, KY formerly of Hopkins County passed away at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He was born April 8, 1923 in Waverly, TN to J.H. Adams and Bessie Bryson Adams. He was a coal miner and last worked at Island Creek Coal in Union County and was a member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Adams in 1997 and one grandson Michael Kiethly. He is survived by six sons, Terry Adams of Sturgis, KY, Larry Adams of Sturgis, KY, Wayne Adams of Dalton, KY, David Adams of Marion, KY, William Adams of Franklin, KY, Dewayne Adams of Earlington, KY, one daughter Carolyn Kiethly of Columbus, OH, one brother Jack Adams of Hanson, KY, twenty grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday 03-26-11at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Clifton Vandiver officiating. His burial will be in Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, KY. His visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday 03-25-11 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
