William Scott Waggener, 69, passed away on October 13, 2024 at his home in Corydon, KY.
Scott was born on August 18, 1955, to the late Cecelia Hedges and William ‘WJ’ Waggener.
In addition to his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his Step-Father, Morris A. “Rock” Spalding, Grandparents, James Thomas “Jim Tom” and Beatrice Buckman, and brother Thomas “Tom” Waggener.
He was known for his passion for barbecuing, his deep affection for Harley Davidson motorcycles, and his love and enthusiasm for NASCAR and his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. He also loved cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats, and in addition to his love for big blue nation, he was an avid poker player, particularly enjoying Texas Hold’em, as he cherished the camaraderie of being with friends and family
Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela K. Waggener, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage, children, Josh (Amanda) Waggener, Jessica (Jason) Carter, Angela Waggener, Melissa (Schile) Cosby, Tom (Haleigh) Waggener; grandchildren, Gabrielle Waggener, Jack Waggener, Isaac Carter, Jared Carter, Logan Carter, Isaiah Waggener, Adasha Waggener, Jayden Gilbert, Kaynin Gilbert, Trinity Gilbert, Grayson Waggener, Emmett Waggener, Malcolm Waggener; great-granddaughter, Zoey Carter; siblings, Jerry Waggener, Carla Waggener, Kelly (Rocky) Gish, Charles “Pat”(Melissa) Spalding, Mark (Evelyn) Spalding, Robert “Robbie” (April) Spalding; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
