William I. Willett

William “Billy” I. Willett, 75 of Henderson passed away November 25, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born in Waverly, KY on July 9, 1949, to the late Herman I. and Martha H. Willett.

Billy was a U. S. Marine veteran who served in Vietnam. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed horse racing and his dog, Nugget.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Willett; son, William I. Willett II; sister, Frances Miller; brothers, Tony Willett and Roy Willett.

He is survived by his daughter, April Gish; two grandchildren, Will Gish and Victoria Gish; four great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Moore (John), Herman Willett (Cindy), Joney Lutz and Tommy Willett; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 30 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Brian Tingley officiating.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time, Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Waverly, KY.  American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial Detail will conduct military rites at the cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
