Wilma Dempewolf Hatchett, 92, of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on November 2, 1932, to the late Carl A. and Frances (Cooper) Dempewolf.
Wilma, along with her late husband, Louis B. Hatchett, proudly owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Henderson for 50 years, where they became a familiar and beloved part of the community. She was also the owner of Ashland/Ohio Valley Oil Company for many years and previously worked as a bookkeeper for Dempewolf Ford.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Henderson. Deeply committed to her community, Wilma volunteered with the Adult Literacy Program and was active in the Women’s League of Voters. She was admired for her strong work ethic, kindness, and generosity toward others.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Hatchett; and her parents, Carl A. and Frances Dempewolf; brother, Carl C. Dempewolf.
She is survived by her three children, Louis B. Hatchett, Jr., David C. Hatchett (Lisa) and Frances E. Hatchett; two grandchildren, Lauren Hatchett (Mark) and Austin Hatchett (Emily); two great grandchildren, Elliot and Liam, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.
