Yvonne “Nanny” Dyer, 82, of Henderson, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway. Yvonne was born on April 3, 1942, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to the late Charles and Margie Baker.
A devoted woman of faith, Yvonne was a cherished member of Eastview Baptist Church, where she nurtured her love for Jesus and her community. Her life was defined by her boundless creativity and generosity. She was a skilled seamstress, a talented cake baker, and took great joy in gardening and completing home projects that brought beauty to her surroundings.
Yvonne's greatest love, however, was for her family. She was the devoted wife of Paul Dyer, whom she loved deeply, and a proud, loving matriarch to her family. Her nurturing spirit, warm heart, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna L. Moore; son, Bart Reynolds; brother, Aubrey Baker; grandparents, Ernest and Ida Baker.
Yvonne is survived by her husband, Paul E. Dyer of 45 years; daughter, Tammy Hegler; brother, Vernon Baker (Nancy); four grandchildren, Shauna Bailey, Kala Dunn, Justin Hegler and Amanda Hegler; six great grandchildren, Eli, Zoey, Devin, Nova, Dixie and Allen.
Visitation will be, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.
Graveside services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Yvonne's legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
