Attention all families and visitors: (UPDATE as of 7/9/2020)

*As of July 9, 2020, we ask each person that visits our facilities to wear a mask or facial covering to comply with the new executive order placed by Gov. Andy Beshear. We will continue to abide by and implement the following:

It is always our utmost priority to provide excellent care to our families we serve, as well as caring for our guests and staff here at the funeral home. Due to the current risks regarding the Coronavirus COVID-19, we will be monitoring the guidelines of the CDC and Kentucky state government, in addition to the recommendations put in place by the National Funeral Directors Association and Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky.

At this time, it is RECOMMENDED that all services be limited to 50 percent of our chapel capacity, while safely social distancing. We intend to follow these Healthy at Work guidelines to promote safety for our families and for our staff.

We will continue to implement the following:

  • Additional daily sanitization of our facility
  • Masks and/or proper PPE will be worn by funeral home staff
  • Family Lounges and coffee/drink service will no longer be available (food may still be dropped off to the family and stored in our lounge but will not open to the public/other visitors)
  • Hand sanitizer placed throughout facilities
  • Signage recommended by CDC has been posted throughout our facility
  • Messages from the Heart - In addition to online condolences, we will accept call-ins from friends and family. Messages will be written on a heart and will be displayed for families to view before the private visitation or service.
  • With the family's permission, live streaming of services will be available to friends and family on our website.

In addition, we ask that those entering our facility understand their risks involved in doing so, especially the elderly or those with compromised immune systems. Anyone not feeling well or showing signs of symptoms, such as fever, cough, etc., please DO NOT ATTEND.

Please refrain from hugging, shaking hands, kissing or any physical contact to minimize risk to others.  Given the current situation we feel as though the families that you are visiting will be understanding and still appreciate your support.

It is our pleasure continuing to serve our community, and we will remain committed in doing our part to reduce risk while ensuring the needs of each family.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or contact one of our staff members.

Thank you,

Tomblinson Funeral Home Staff
