Chip Tomblinson grew up in the Ashbyburg area in Northern Hopkins County. He is the son of the late Billy Charles and Mary Estelle (Brown) Tomblinson and the Grandson of Hailey and Mittye (Ashby) Tomblinson of Ashbyburg and Lawrence and Sarah (Duckworth) Brown of Poole. He has two children. His eldest is Leah who is a 2011 graduate of Western Kentucky University who joined the staff of Tomblinson Funeral Homes following graduation. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Alex is his youngest who is serving in the United States Marine Corps. Chip attended Hanson Elementary School and graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School, class of 1981. He then attended Madisonville Community College where he received an Associates Degree in Business Management. He worked in the automotive industry in the area for several years before becoming a Territory Manager for Farmers Hybrid. He then went on to attend mortuary school in 1993. He graduated from Mid-America School of Mortuary Science with honors and an Associates Degree of Mortuary Science in 1994. He was also a member of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity. After graduation, he then worked for Tompkins Funeral Homes in bebree and Slaughters where he had worked part time while in Mortuary School. After several years at Tompkins Funeral Homes, he purchased the company in 2003. The funeral homes were operated under the Tompkins name until the death of the founder Paul D. Tompkins. The name of the funeral homes were changed in July 2006 to Tomblinson Funeral Homes. In 2005, he also purchased the Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY. In March 2011, he opened the Henderson Chapel. Chip is a member of the Hanson United Methodist Church.

Leah Tomblinson is originally of Hopkins County, Kentucky, and the daughter of Chip Tomblinson and Robyn (Fridy) Tomblinson. She is the granddaughter of the late Roger and Frances Fridy and the late Billy Charles and Estelle (Brown) Tomblinson. Leah graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School and is an alumna of Sigma Kappa Sorority and Western Kentucky University, earning a Bachelor of Science in both Design, Merchandising, and Textiles and in Interior Design.
Following college, Leah returned home to join the family business, where she acquired her Funeral Director and Embalmer License, as well as her life insurance license, to assist families with pre-planning needs. Although overseeing the daily operations of both facilities has become her primary responsibility, Leah is passionate about assisting families in their time of need and firmly believes this is the purpose God intended for her on Earth.
She has two children, Stella Reese Johnston and Maverick Carter Johnston. Atticus and Kaiser, her rescue dogs, are vital members of Leah's family, reflecting their strong advocacy for rescue dog adoption.
Leah and her family are members of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She serves on the board of directors for St. Anthony's Hospice and as a Henderson Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. In her free time, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing golf.

Pam Moyes was born in Henderson County to James Donal and Carolyn Marie (Skaggs) Alderson. She was raised in Corydon and graduated from Henderson County High School in 1981. In 2009, she earned her Funeral Director’s License and has since dedicated her career to serving families with Tomblinson Funeral Home. For her, funeral service is more than a profession, it's a calling to walk alongside and support families during their time of loss. She wants to treat you as if you were a part of her own family.
Pamela and her husband, Brad Moyes reside in Cairo. They have three children: Scott Moyes and wife, Blair, Nicole Moyes, and Heath Moyes and wife, Taylor. She is a proud Lolli to seven grandchildren, Reid Marie, Avery Jo, Oliver Michael, Thea Marie, Kimber Grace, Morgan Wrenly and Everson Wayne as well as Godmother to Stella Reese and Maverick Carter Johnston.
Pam is a devoted dog lover who adores her four furry companions: Huxley, Cricket, Nahla and Ginger.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Pamela cherishes time spent on the road riding alongside her husband.

Matthew was born in Murray, Kentucky to Gail (Uzzle) Stafford and Michael Tolbert.
He grew up around the funeral business, as his grandfather, Neal Tolbert, owned and operated Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home in Benton, Kentucky until 1991. He graduated from Marshall County High School in 1997 and later decided to pursue the funeral business. He graduated in 2006 from Mid-America College of Funeral Service where he was Class Chaplain. Upon graduation, Matthew served his apprenticeship at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville, Kentucky and received his Funeral Director and Embalmer Licenses in 2008. He also worked at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home in Henderson before joining the staff at Tomblinson Funeral Home in 2014.
Matthew married April Burns-Tolbert on June 28, 2025. He is also the proud father of two sons Ethan and Eric and his golden doodle. Lola. Matthew enjoys photography, antiquing, caring for his plants and spending time with family and friends.

Jon Lambert was born in Cairo, Illinois to John R. Lambert and Marietta Grissom. He graduated from Marshall County High School in 1989.
Jon has been involved in the funeral business most of his life. As early as three years old, he remembers serving coffee and greeting families at Johnson and Lambert Funeral Home in Calvert City, Kentucky, owned by his grandfather and father.
Jon continued the family tradition by graduating from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 2003. In 2017, he became a licensed life insurance agent to assist families with their pre-planning needs. In 2024, Jon furthered his funeral services education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Funeral Service Management.
Jon views the funeral business as a ministry and believes in treating everyone with compassion, honesty, and integrity. He lives in Henderson with his wife, Tamara and their two cats, Mosey and Bootsie. He enjoys spending time with his family and relaxing at Kentucky Lake.

Tamara Lambert, formerly of Marshall County, Kentucky, is the daughter of Stephen and Susan Starks of Benton, Kentucky. She graduated from Marshall County High School in 1996 and, in 2013, graduated magna cum laude from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.
Tamara has worked in the funeral business with her husband, Jon Lambert, since 2014. Primarily, she works in sales at Tomblinson Monument Company, while also holding a license as funeral director. Tamara has previously served as treasurer on the board of CASA by the Lakes of Marshall and Calloway Counties and is a passionate supporter of the safety and well-being of children.
In her free time, she enjoys camping, beaching, and cruising and being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Tamara and Jon live in Henderson with their cats, Mosey and Bootsie.

Dale was a 1985 graduate of Mid-America Mortuary College. He has served the Henderson area as a licensed funeral director and embalmer, the Commonwealth Detective, and the Kentucky Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers State Inspector.
Dale is married to Marsha Koonce Powell and they have two daughters. He has been a part of the Tomblinson staff since 2023.

Larry Lamb was born May 18, 1950 to Reginald H. and Edna Lamb. He grew up in Henderson County, Kentucky and attended Weaverton Grade School and Jr. High. In 1968, he graduated from Henderson County High School. After high school, he married Patricia Payne and they have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In 1968, he began his career in the funeral business. He began working for Paul B. Moss at Moss Funeral Homes. In 1972, he went to work for Benton Funeral Home Incoporated which later became Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in 1974. Benton-Glunt Funeral Home purchased Tapp Funeral Home in 1987 and was associated with both funeral homes until 2011. He then came to work for Tomblinson Henderson Chapel in the fall of 2011.

Gary has lived in Sebree all his life and is rarely met with an unfamiliar face. He is the son of the late John Walker and Ruby Walker. Gary has worked with Tomblinson Funeral Home in some capacity since he was 15 years old. He has two children, Gary D. Walker and Jennifer Stephenson, and has been blessed with several grandchildren and one great grandchild. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing bingo.

Beth joined Tomblinson Funeral Home in 2023 and brings a passion for service and community care to her role.
Born and raised in Vincennes, Indiana, she is a 2019 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement from Vincennes University and is currently pursing a degree in Funeral Services at Mid-America College, working toward her funeral director and embalming license.
She now resides in Henderson with her wife, Jess, their two dogs, Waylon and Dolly and their cat Hank. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Green Bay Packers and loves antiquing adventures with her wife.

Carolyn Marie (Skaggs) Alderson was born in Reed, Kentucky, to the late Oscar and Willie Bell Skaggs. She graduated from Henderson County High School in 1961. On June 15, 1962, she married the late James “Buck” Donal Alderson, following their first prom date the year before.
Shortly after, they welcomed their one and only child, their beloved daughter, Pamela (Alderson) Moyes.
Known to some as Marie and to others as Carolyn, she worked at several places over the years, including Audubon Hosiery Mill and later Gibbs Die Casting, where she eventually retired. In retirement, both she and Buck worked at Tomblinson Funeral Home, where their daughter serves as a funeral director. Marie is admired for her dedication, strong work ethic, and compassion toward others.
She is a proud grandmother to Scott, Nicole, and Heath, and a loving great-grandmother to Reed Marie, Oliver Michael, Avery Jo, Thea Marie, Kimber Grace, Morgan Wrenley, and Everson Wayne.

Kay Bryant was married to the late Ollie Bryant, and together they raised two daughters, Kari Tigue (Eddy) and Kendra Thatcher (Jason). She is a devoted grandmother to five grandchildren—Megan Tigue (Sam), Rachel Tigue, Isaac Thatcher, Bryant Tigue (Jayla), and Nicholas Thatcher (Tobi)—and enjoys the sweet company of two great-grandsons, Bennett Ollie Tigue and Colt Nathaniel Thatcher.
Kay is an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where she contributes her time and heart by helping with OCIA classes and lends a friendly face to the hospitality team on Saturday’s 4 PM Mass. At home, she’s happily kept company by her dog Queenie, who pretty much runs the house. She’s known for her big heart and finds joy in her faith, her family, and her community.

Pam Howell joined the Sebree Chapel staff in 2023. She is a lifelong resident of Ashbyburg, where she lives with her husband, Troy, and their son, Cade.
Studying history, traveling, and listening to classic rock are among her favorite interests. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from WKU, then received her Rank 1 degree from IWU. After teaching for 31 years at Slaughters and Dixon Schools, she retired from the Webster County School District. Pam is a member of NEA, KRTA, WCRTA, Who's Who Among American Teachers, and DAR.
As a member of Onton Methodist Church, she enjoys reconnecting with old friends and meeting new people through its various programs.
Working at Tomblinson's has enabled her to further these community connections.

I’ve been part of the funeral home family for four years and feel grateful to work alongside such a caring team. My husband is Ralph Riley, and I have two wonderful children from my late first husband, Robert “Buck” Lacer—my daughter, Penny Phelps, and my son, Mack Lacer. At home, I enjoy the company of my two Australian Shepherds, Tucker and Tri.
Before joining the funeral home, I owned and operated V’s Cleaning for 30 years before retiring. Now, I take pride in welcoming families and making them feel cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

Marvetta McGuire graduated in 1980 from Henderson County High School and obtained a CDA in Early Childhood Education from Henderson Community College. She has worked for the Henderson County Board of Education for 17 years, currently holding a position as monitor with the Transportation Department. She has also worked 8 years with Evansville CAPE Headstart and joined our support staff in 2018. Marvetta has been married 36 years and has been blessed with two beautiful children and five wonderful grandchildren. She holds a deep commitment to her faith and dedicates her time to serving her church and others in her community.

Kara Melton joined Tomblinson Funeral Home in January 2015, following her retirement from TJ Maxx in 2014 after 28 years of dedicated service. She and her husband, Tommy, have been married for 54 years and reside in Robards, KY. Together, they have two children, Daniel Melton and Jolie Flores, and are proud grandparents to Ethan, Mitchell, and Jacob.

Jess Miller graduated from Henderson County High School in 2016 and is currently pursuing a Business degree at Henderson Community College.
She is married to her wife, Beth Miller, whom she loves dearly. Together, they enjoy antiquing, playing golf, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide. At home, they share their lives with two dogs, Waylon and Dolly, and a cat named Hank. Jess also admits she enjoys a good nap whenever she can.
She brings compassion, dedication, and a strong sense of community to her work—qualities that reflect both her personal and professional values. Her calm presence, genuine care, and commitment to helping others ensure that families feel supported during their most difficult times.

Jency Montgomery is from Jackson, TN, the daughter of John and Jan Hicks. She graduated from Union University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. The following year, she married her husband, Bert, a writer, teacher, and minister. While helping raise their two sons, she has also worked in retail, child care, banking, and book store settings back and forth in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Mississippi. Jency and Bert recently moved back to Henderson after a 23-year absence when Bert began working as a chaplain with St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Jency enjoys being a part of the wonderful team at Tomblinson, as well as keeping up with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, listening to John Denver, relaxing in front of good TV shows next to her husband, and, of course, spending time with their grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren.

Rev. Mary M. Wrye was born and raised in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late Floyd R. "Pat" and Auda L. Wrye. She graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor degree in Vocational Rehabilitation. She worked with other-abled adults for eight years. She followed her ministry calling and graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. After working sixteen years in church ministry, Mary completed a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency in Greenville, SC. She moved to Henderson in 2004 to join the Methodist Hospital staff as a Board Certified Chaplain where she stayed until her retirement in
2021. Along with loving being part of the Tomblinson team, she also loves being a part time Chaplain for St. Anthony's Hospice.
Mary has fun traveling, watching football, and hanging out with friends, family, and her fur baby Frankie.
